2010 NightOwl Classic
T-shirts are no longer included with registration. However, you may purchase a t-shirt on event day for $10 (includes shipping).
The 2nd annual NightOwl Classic is a non-competitive bike ride along the Mississippi River at dusk. The ride will start and finish near historic St. Anthony Main and tour the Twin Cities beautiful riverfront district and well known landmarks.
The ride offers three routes with two separate start times - the shortest 3.5 mile 'Mini Hoot' and the longer 8.5 mile 'Family Flight' will take-off between 7:00-7:30PM and the longest route, the 16.5 mile 'Hoot Loop' will depart between 7:30-8:00PM. Parkways will be closed for riders with the entire course re-opening to traffic at 11:00PM. River crossings such as Plymouth Avenue bridge, Franklin Avenue bridge and Ford Parkway will be shared with traffic but divided and controlled for rider safety. Riders with children, families or less-experienced riders are encouraged to take the 3.5 mile or 8.5 mile rides. The 16.5 mile ride is for more experienced riders only. HELMETS AND FRONT & BACK BIKE LIGHTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL RIDERS. No pets please.
T-shirts with popular GLOW-IN-THE-DARK design are no longer included with registration. However, you may purchase a shirt on the day of the ride for $10 and have it shipped to you.
